SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum
Forehead wrinkles are the worst! I may be a little biased because that is where my biggest wrinkle concern is. When the forehead starts to show signs of aging I can’t help but think of it as the billboard of your body boldly stating that *yes indeed, I am getting older*. Ugh.
Because the lines on foreheads are usually deeper then lines found on other places of the face it is much harder to target these wrinkles with the use of creams and serums. Some say that botox, microdermabrasions and other medical/medicalspa treatments are the only way to actually reduce the appearance of those lines.
The SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum claims that they have the secret to reducing those stubborn and deep wrinkles found on the forehead, along with all of the other signs of aging found on the face. This treatment comes in a dual pump tube that dispenses 2 separate products that are supposed to work wonders when combined.

How does SkinMedica TNS Essential Serum work?
This anti-aging product uses some common and not so common ingredients as the key to its success.
The common ingredient include antioxidants, peptide, moisturizers, skin lighteners and other innovative anti-aging ingredients such as Palmitoyl Tripeptide 5 (peptide), Hydrolyzed Silk (a peptide), Coenzyme Q10 (an antioxidant), Green Tea Leaf (an antioxidant), Blackberry Leaf (antioxidant), Hyaluronic Filling Spheres (moisturizer and skin smoother).
The less common ingredient includes the Human Fibroblast Conditioned Media (TNS®), this somewhat controversial ingredient uses human fibroblasts to help promote the production of collagen and elastin in the skin. These human fibroblasts are derived from actual human sources like embryos and foreskins. This makes some consumers extremely uncomfortable and raises some questions as to where we draw the line when it comes to beauty. The SkinMedica company promises that the derivation process of the fibroblasts were nothing but humane and done properly.
Besides the fact that this anti-aging treatment uses human fibroblasts from actual human foreskins a few other things about this product stands out to me; the color is said to be orange and gross, the smell is supposed to be appalling and the results seem to be pretty great. $260 for 1 fl oz Well, when all is said and done this product does seem to be able to live up to its impressive claims. The downsides of this product includes: the cost, the smell, the high price tag and (to some) the interesting ingredients. If you have the money and the desire to try this product then I wouldn’t tell you not too. If you are still looking for a good product, I can honestly tell you that there are a lot of great products out there that can match these same claims and may be easier on the wallet and the nose.
